Park Su-hong halts weekly YouTube parenting videos after flight delay controversy

Broadcaster Park Su-hong has stopped uploading his weekly YouTube parenting content after apologizing for a controversy over a flight departure delay.

As of Monday, no new video had appeared on the YouTube channel "Park Su-hong Haengbokhae Dahong," which Park and his wife Kim Da-ye operate together. The couple had consistently posted content about parenting and daily life every Monday at 5 p.m.

The channel's main notice still carries Kim Da-ye's name as executive producer alongside a note that videos are uploaded every Monday at 5 p.m., but no new video or announcement appeared Monday, the regular upload day.

Earlier, Park had boarded a flight to Guam with his family but said he wanted to disembark after his child began crying, then reversed that decision. The back-and-forth, including the security procedures it triggered, delayed the flight's departure by about an hour. After the incident drew public criticism over the inconvenience caused to other passengers, Park posted an apology on social media, calling it a "poor judgment" and expressing remorse to fellow passengers and the airline.

Since the controversy, Park and Kim have also gone quiet on social media, halting the active posting they had maintained until then.
