LIG D&A to showcase air defense, aerial weapons systems at Europe's largest defense expo

LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) said Monday it will participate in MSPO 2026, Europe's largest defense exhibition, to be held in Poland from Tuesday through Friday.

The company has identified two projects closely tied to Poland's military modernization drive — the Polish multi-layered air defense program and the Korean Guided Glide Bomb (KGGB) project — as its core strategic priorities at the show. LIG D&A plans to exhibit an integrated air defense lineup that includes the Cheongung-II medium-range surface-to-air missile system, the long-range surface-to-air guided weapon (L-SAM) and the KGGB.

The company aims to demonstrate that it is the ideal partner for building the dense, seamless air defense architecture the Polish military requires, and to further cement a strategic cooperative relationship.

To advance the KGGB project, LIG D&A will hold briefings and consultations at the exhibition, emphasizing the weapon's combat-proven data and precision strike capabilities.

The KGGB enables low-cost, high-efficiency precision strikes and is expected to play a central role in strengthening Poland's air power and its ability to conduct modern warfare.

LIG D&A will hold meetings with Polish defense officials and global defense companies to discuss technology cooperation and exports. Meanwhile, at the Rheinmetall booth, the two companies will display a mockup of a short-range air defense missile and vehicle-mounted launcher they are jointly developing.

"Participating in MSPO 2026 will be an important opportunity to elevate defense cooperation with Poland," a company official said. "By providing optimal solutions — including a multi-layered air defense system and the KGGB — that meet the Polish military's needs, we will raise the profile of Korean defense exports and expand our foothold in the European market."
