Hosandae University's Beauty Smart Care Department holds tattoo practice standards seminar with national tattoo artists association

The Beauty Smart Care Department at Hosandae University announced Monday that it recently co-hosted a seminar on standard tattoo practice guidelines for tattoo artists in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province region with the Korea Tattoo Artists Central Association.

The seminar was organized as a follow-up program under a memorandum of understanding the university signed with the association, aimed at helping practitioners understand recent regulatory changes in the tattoo industry and strengthening their expertise in hygiene, safety management and professional practice.

About 40 working tattoo artists from the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province area attended the event. Nam Geum-jae, head of the association's Daegu chapter, delivered a lecture outlining standard tattoo practice guidelines in line with the evolving regulatory environment and offering guidance on their practical application.

Eom Su-jeong, head of the Beauty Smart Care Department at Hosandae University, said the department would continue to expand field-centered education through close industry-academic cooperation with the association, working to develop beauty and tattoo professionals equipped with hygiene awareness, safety knowledge and practical expertise.

Im Bo-ran, president of the Korea Tattoo Artists Central Association, said accurate information and systematic education are essential to reducing confusion among practitioners as the tattoo industry moves through the process of regulatory formalization. She added that the association would actively work with Hosandae University to strengthen field expertise and foster a sound industry ecosystem.
