Busan Chamber of Commerce, law firm Jipyong join hands to boost regional businesses

The Busan Chamber of Commerce signed an MOU with law firm Jipyong LLC on Monday afternoon at the chamber's eighth-floor conference room, pledging to build a cooperative framework for the development of Busan-area businesses. Eight representatives from both organizations attended the signing ceremony, including Busan Chamber of Commerce Chairman Yang Jae-saeng and Jipyong LLC Managing Partner Lim Sung-taek.

The agreement combines the chamber's regional business network and support infrastructure with Jipyong's expertise in law and management, enabling local companies to address complex challenges they face in day-to-day operations. The two organizations agreed to cooperate particularly on providing timely legal, tax and governance information and advice at key stages of business growth, including overseas market entry and management succession.

Under the MOU, the two sides will work closely together on: professional legal advice and consulting for business management issues; information sharing and networking to support overseas market entry and export development; transparent management and succession planning advice; tailored education and capacity-building programs for member companies' executives and employees; and joint seminars, forums and briefings on legal and business trends.

The chamber will identify support needs in legal and management areas based on demand from regional businesses, while Jipyong will draw on its specialist staff and domestic and international networks to help companies resolve pressing issues.

"We look forward to the two organizations working closely together so that the professional support companies need at every important stage of growth — from legal advice to overseas expansion and management succession — is provided in a timely manner," Yang said.
