Event at Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center on Thursday
brings buyers from 8 countries for export consultations
Ulsan Export Plaza 2026, an event designed to connect overseas buyers directly with local small and medium-sized enterprises to boost exports, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center (UECO).
The event, co-hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City and the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency, brings together 17 overseas buyers from eight countries, including Austria and Vietnam, and 53 small and medium-sized enterprises from Ulsan. The participating firms span construction and chemicals, shipbuilding and automobiles, electricity and machinery, and consumer goods and services.
Ulsan Metropolitan City will provide professional interpreters to participating companies to facilitate the consultations, and will help arrange on-site contract signings with overseas buyers depending on how the talks go.
On Friday, the city will take the overseas buyers who attended the event on tours of industrial sites, including the Ulsan Next-Generation Battery Research and Development Center and Hyundai Motor Company's Ulsan plant, to introduce them to Ulsan's industries and companies. The tours aim to support further business cooperation going forward.
"We will run Ulsan Export Plaza in a way that makes it a substantive export gateway connecting local companies with overseas buyers," an Ulsan Metropolitan City official said.
