'Nothing has been decided on any issue'
Various options for meaningful contribution to international community under discussion
Prime Minister Han Seong-sook said no decision has yet been made regarding the deployment of troops to the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking at a National Assembly question-and-answer session Wednesday, Han was asked by Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Kwak Sang-eon what her views were on the deployment. "Regarding the deployment to the Strait of Hormuz, nothing has been decided on any issue," she said.
"We are all well aware of how important freedom of navigation through the strait, the global supply chain and the Strait of Hormuz itself are to securing our energy supply," Han said.
"We are also discussing various options for how we can make a meaningful contribution to the international community," she added.
