Suseong College, Suseong-gu Office, local wellness firms join hands on lifelong vocational education

Suseong College signed an agreement Wednesday with the Suseong-gu Office and local wellness companies to build a governance framework linking local government, industry and academia. The framework aims to train talent who will settle and work in the region. The signing ceremony was held in a conference room on the second floor of the college's main building.

The ceremony was attended by Kang Seong-su, director of Suseong College's Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation, and Kim Nam-jo, head of the Office of Lifelong Vocational Education. Also attending were Kim Young-hee, dean of the Department of Skin Health Care Management, and An Ki-young, head of the Suseong-gu Office's Future Education Division. Seong Sang-jeong, a team leader at the office, also attended.

Also attending were the heads of six local wellness companies that signed onto the agreement: Nam Jeong-hee of Rojeunesse, Lee Ju-mi of Wellness Ab, and Jung Hye-jin of Runmacle. Also attending were Kim Jong-ju of Sosorae, Kang Na-young of Breathe In Yoga & Meditation, and Kwon Min-kyung of Art Meditation Center.

Through the agreement, the participating institutions agreed to establish a cooperative model linking local government, universities and industry. They also agreed to strengthen a lifelong vocational education ecosystem tailored to local needs.

"Building on this partnership between local government, industry and academia, we will train wellness curator specialists suited to the region's characteristics and create a successful model of community-based lifelong vocational education," said Kang Seong-su, director of Suseong College's Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation.
