Cheongdo-gun runs on-site office for cadastral resurvey boundary consultations

Cheongdo-gun in North Gyeongsang Province operated a field office for cadastral resurvey boundary consultations at the Maejeon-myeon Sangpyeong-ri senior center for five days, from Monday through Friday, the county announced Sunday.

The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative aimed at correcting discrepancies between actual land use and registered records and converting paper-based cadastral maps to a digital system.

Boundary consultation is a particularly important step in the process, as it incorporates landowners' input and helps resolve boundary disputes between neighboring plots before they escalate.

Cheongdo-gun set up the on-site office to spare landowners the inconvenience of visiting government offices in person, allowing staff to explain boundary determinations and provide immediate consultations on location — an approach that drew active participation from residents.

"Because the cadastral resurvey project is closely tied to landowners' property rights, it is important to determine boundaries through thorough explanation and communication," Cheongdo-gun County Mayor Park Gwon-hyeon said. "We will continue to listen closely to landowners and do our utmost to bring the project to a smooth conclusion."
