Jejuair has conducted a hands-on compliance training program aimed at preventing risks that may arise in transactions and contracts with affiliates and business partners.

The airline said Sunday that it held the session Friday afternoon at its Seoul office in Gangseo-gu, targeting employees from departments handling fair-trade-related work, including finance, accounting, legal, planning and budgeting.

The training, led by a legal expert from Kim & Chang, focused on preventing fair-trade risks in transactions and contracts with affiliates and business partners. Rather than offering a general overview of fair-trade law, the session centered on real-world scenarios likely to arise in day-to-day operations and the specific judgment criteria needed to address them, enhancing its practical relevance.

Jejuair said it has been continuously pursuing prevention and mitigation activities tailored to each department's work characteristics and level of risk exposure. In May, it held a separate session for working-level staff and executives on unfair collaborative practices under the Fair Trade Act.

"We are working to prevent and mitigate compliance risks through training that takes into account the characteristics of each department and its work," a Jejuair official said. "We will strive to become an airline that leads ESG — environmental, social and governance — management through proactive prevention and internal control."

Meanwhile, Jejuair recorded the highest market share among the nine domestic carriers operating the Gimpo–Jeju route from January through August this year, carrying about 1.98 million passengers — a 20.7 percent share — and operating 11,017 flights, accounting for 21.2 percent of total departures on the route.

In addition, Jejuair is actively expanding its route network to improve passenger convenience, with plans to resume service on the Incheon–Guilin route and launch charter flights on the Daegu–Guilin route later this month.
