Mapo-gu District Mayor Cheers on Community Sports Events

Mapo-gu District Mayor Yoo Dong-kyun attended a series of sports events held across the district over the weekend.

He kicked off Saturday morning with the Mapo-gu District Mayor's Cup Jump Rope Competition at 10:30 a.m., then visited the Mapo Kkumchan Children's Sports Competition at 1:30 p.m. the same afternoon, cheering on participants throughout.

On Sunday morning, he attended the opening ceremony of the Mapo-gu District Mayor's Cup Jokgu Tournament at 10 a.m., wishing competitors strong performances and a safe competition.

"Lifestyle sports are the driving force that keeps residents physically and mentally healthy and brings vitality to their lives," Yoo said. "Mapo-gu will expand sports facilities and broaden the range of programs so that every resident can exercise freely close to home and take care of their health."
