Ministry of Planning and Budget visits children's welfare facility in Buyeo-gun for chuseok

The Ministry of Planning and Budget visited a children's welfare facility in Buyeo-gun, South Chungcheong Province, on Tuesday to mark the chuseok holiday, delivering gifts to Samshin Neulpureun Dongsan.

The visit was organized to hear directly from those working on the front lines of child care in the region and to share warmth with the local community during the holiday season.

Planning and Coordination Director General Kim Myeong-jung listened to staff members describe the facility's operating conditions and challenges, and expressed gratitude to workers who continue to serve on the welfare front lines despite difficult circumstances. Kim also spent time talking with the children at the facility and wished them a warm chuseok holiday.

"The holiday season is precisely when our neighbors need more attention and warmth," Kim said. "We will look carefully after those in need so that no one feels left out and everyone can enjoy a warm holiday."

The ministry also visited welfare facilities during the Lunar New Year holiday earlier this year. It plans to continue reaching out to neighbors in need and welfare sites on future holidays to help spread a culture of sharing and consideration.
