Incheon National University has been named the top-performing institution in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 2025 Pre-Startup Package performance evaluation for the third consecutive year.
The university has run the Pre-Startup Package program since 2019 — now in its eighth year — identifying promising aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative technology and business models and providing them with commercialization funding, education and mentoring.
Last year, the program nurtured 27 pre-startup founders and produced multiple top-rated and highly commended companies.
The university has also been supporting participants with follow-on investment and market access to help build a stronger foundation for startup growth.
"We will continue to identify and nurture promising startups, expand industry-academia-research cooperation in the region, and build a startup ecosystem where the growth of new companies drives vitality in the local economy," said Lee Min-cheol, head of Incheon National University's startup support division.
