Shinsegae Group opens recruitment drive for 2027 new hires

Shinsegae Group announced Thursday that it will hold an open recruitment drive for new employees set to join in 2027.

Ten affiliates will take part: E-mart, Shinsegae department store, Shinsegae Property, SCK Company (Starbucks), Shinsegae International, Shinsegae DFS (duty-free), Shinsegae Information & Communication, Shinsegae Food, Shinsegae Central and Shinsegae Live Shopping.

Applications will be accepted from Friday through Oct. 12, with results announced in late October. Individual affiliate interviews are scheduled for November, followed by final interviews in December. Successful candidates will officially join the company in January next year.

Shinsegae Group has scrapped the one-month internship that previously followed the final interview. "Eliminating the internship process allowed us to secure top talent earlier," a Shinsegae Group official said. "We look forward to receiving applications this year from young people who want to build the future alongside us."
