Yeungnam University of Science and Technology receives W5m scholarship from Park Seung-chul Hair

Yeungnam University of Science and Technology announced Wednesday that it held a meeting with Park Seung-chul Hair to strengthen industry-academic cooperation and foster skilled beauty professionals, followed by a scholarship donation ceremony to support students' studies and career planning. The event took place at the history hall on the second floor of Cheonma Square on campus.

About 10 representatives from both institutions attended, including Park Seung-chul Hair CEO Park Hyo-won.

Park Seung-chul Hair donated 5 million won ($3,690) to help create stable learning conditions for students and nurture talented beauty professionals.

The company has contributed scholarships annually through its industry-academic partnership with the university's Park Seung-chul Hair department, bringing the cumulative total over five years — including this year's donation — to 21 million won.

The funds will go toward supporting students who are building expertise in beauty-related fields and preparing for their careers.

"We will pursue more substantive cooperation with industry to ensure our students take pride in their major, enjoy their time at university, and grow into practice-ready professionals recognized in the field after graduation," said Yeungnam University of Science and Technology President Lee Jae-yong.

Meanwhile, the university's Park Seung-chul Hair department operates as a brand-affiliated program built on its partnership with Park Seung-chul Hair, one of South Korea's leading hair care brands, with a focus on training practice-oriented hair designers for the industry.
