Reward rates more than double across tiers; standing benefits introduced
Kyochon Food & Beverage is overhauling the membership system on its Kyochon Chicken app, raising reward rates and introducing new standing benefits.
The company announced Thursday that it is renaming its three membership tiers to Single (for new customers), Combo and Signature. Reward rates will more than double across all tiers, rising from 0.5%, 1% and 2% to 1%, 3% and 5%.
Under the new system, a Signature-tier customer spending 30,000 won ($22) will earn 1,500 points — more than double the previous 600. Accumulated points can be used like cash or spent at a newly introduced "coupon store."
At the coupon store, members can use points to purchase discounted coupons for menu items of their choice. The revamp also introduces an "attendance check" benefit that grows rewards with each visit. New members will receive a free wedge potato coupon immediately upon signing up.
"We focused on making the benefits more tangible the more frequently customers use the app," a company official said, describing the overhaul as a strategy to build customer loyalty following an app redesign in July that enhanced convenience features.
