US stocks rose across the board Thursday (local time) as markets digested the Federal Reserve's benchmark interest rate hike from the previous day.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 316.28 points, or 0.61 percent, at 51,778.18.
The S&P 500 gained 85.19 points, or 1.14 percent, to finish at 7,637.73, while the tech-heavy NASDAQ Composite rose 439.87 points, or 1.69 percent, to close at 26,418.30.
