Gyeongbuk College completes PLC and servo motor training for Bearing Art employees

Gyeongbuk College held a two-day practical training course on "PLC-based servo motor control and communications" Wednesday and Thursday for equipment maintenance staff at Bearing Art Co., a leading manufacturing company in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.

The training was organized as part of the college's K-U City project.

The 12-hour program covered a range of technical topics across two days. On the first day, participants worked through the configuration and core functions of the MELSERVO MR-J5 servo motor, RD77MS module setup, parameter control and programming exercises, single-axis and linear interpolation operation, and hands-on servo troubleshooting using the dedicated MR-Configurator2 software.

The second day focused on skills directly applicable to the factory floor, including an overview of CC-Link industrial network communications, applied system configuration, communication programming and diagnostic techniques, the use of maintenance check sheets, and analysis of real-world troubleshooting cases.

Lee Jung-seop, head of the college's WE ANCHOR project team, said the program would continue to grow. "We will further strengthen industry-academia cooperation with local anchor companies through the WE ANCHOR project and keep expanding customized technical training that actively reflects the needs of the industrial workplace," he said.
