Shinsegae Food said Friday it will strengthen its bakery competitiveness using La Conviette, a premium French butter. La Conviette is made by aging fresh cream from the west-central region of France for 18 hours using traditional methods.
On Tuesday, Shinsegae Food signed an MOU with TMG Holdings, the domestic importer and distributor of La Conviette, at its headquarters in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The agreement covers premium ingredient sourcing, joint product development and distribution expansion.
Shinsegae Food has been developing products using premium ingredients in line with growing consumer demand for quality, flavor and differentiated experiences. Under the partnership, the company will supply bakery items and other proprietary products through TMG Holdings' online and offline retail channels. The two companies will also work together to identify new sales channels by combining Shinsegae Food's business-to-business sales network with TMG Holdings' product sourcing and distribution capabilities.
"We will continue to discover premium ingredients and combine our product development and manufacturing capabilities to deliver differentiated bakery products," a Shinsegae Food official said.
