Damyang-gun is inviting visitors to explore Juknokwon and Soswaewon free of charge on Chuseok.
The county will open major tourist attractions at no cost and deploy special tourism guidance teams during the Chuseok holiday to assist tourists and returning residents.
On Chuseok day itself — Monday — paid attractions including Juknokwon, Soswaewon and Metasequoia Land will be free to enter. The Korea Gasa Literature Museum and Gamagol Ecological Park will also operate as usual at no charge.
To ensure visitors can use facilities safely and comfortably during the holiday, the county plans to inspect major tourist sites — including Metasequoia Land, Gamagol Ecological Park and Yongmaru-gil — and complete environmental cleanup work by Wednesday.
Special tourism guidance teams will be on duty for four days from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27. Eighteen staff members per day, including civil servants and cultural tourism interpreters, will be stationed at key attractions to provide visitor assistance, address on-site complaints and manage emergency situations.
"We are checking facilities and guidance systems in advance so that visitors coming to Damyang during the Chuseok holiday can comfortably tour the major attractions," Damyang County Chief Park Jong-won said. "We hope everyone enjoys Damyang's autumn scenery with their families and has a restful holiday."
