Han So-hee draws laughs — and apologizes — after awkward quip to 70-year-old host Son Seok-hee

Actor Han So-hee sparked laughter with a playful slip of the tongue.

Han and her co-star Choi Min-sik appeared as guests on Thursday's episode of MBC Standard FM's "Son Seok-hee's 12 O'Clock," where the two discussed their upcoming film "The Intern."

Host Son Seok-hee asked Choi whether he had learned anything from Han outside of filming, noting that Choi had reportedly suggested they set aside any sense of seniority on set.

"It's less that I learned something and more that I envy her youth," Choi said. "I think to myself, 'If I could go back to that age, I'd work even harder.' And there's an energy that only young people have — that vitality is genuinely different."

Son, who turns 70 this year, then chimed in. "I'm actually a bit older than Choi Min-sik, so there's no need to be surprised. From where the two of us stand, we're both envious." Choi is 64 this year, while Han is 32.

Han then quipped, "Well, there's no order to when we go."

Son looked flustered and laughed. "You really shouldn't say things like that," he said. Han quickly replied, "I'm sorry."

Son also asked Han what she had learned from working with Choi. "This might sound a little arrogant, but I used to think of myself as someone doing art," she said. "Watching him, I realized — that's what someone who truly does art looks like."

"The Intern" follows Giho (played by Choi Min-sik), a retiree who spent more than 30 years in the workforce, as he joins a fashion startup as an intern under Seonwoo (played by Han So-hee), a third-year CEO.

The film is a Korean remake of the 2015 Hollywood film "The Intern," and drew attention for casting Choi and Han in the roles originated by Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.

The film is directed by Kim Do-young, who helmed "Once We Were Us" (2025).
