Cosmax opens second-half recruitment drive, prioritizing AI skills

Cosmax Group announced Monday it is launching its second-half open recruitment drive for new hires.

Applications will be accepted through the group's recruitment website until 4 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The recruitment involves major affiliates including holding company Cosmax BTI, Cosmax, Cosmax NBT, Cosmax Bio and Cosmax Pharma. Open positions are centered on research and innovation, with additional roles in marketing and sales, overseas sales, strategic marketing, design, and quality assurance and control.

Applicants must hold a four-year university or graduate degree, or be on track to graduate in February 2027. The selection process consists of a document screening, an online AI competency assessment, a practical interview, a final interview and a pre-employment health check. Successful candidates are expected to join the company in December.

Cosmax Group is continuing the policy it first introduced earlier this year of giving preference to candidates with strong AI skills. The application form includes a dedicated section where applicants can describe how they have used AI tools to build their abilities or improve work efficiency. The group said it views AI proficiency as essential for identifying trends in the global beauty market and securing an early lead in innovative technologies.

Cosmax has also been expanding its use of AI in research and development and business operations. In July, it applied AI-based personalized cosmetics formulation technology to the Japanese beauty market as part of its overseas expansion. The company operates research and production facilities in South Korea, China, the United States, Indonesia and Thailand to support its global business.

To broaden its talent pipeline beyond the capital region, Cosmax has expanded its offline recruitment presence. On top of job fairs and information sessions at major universities in Seoul, the group held a session at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology and has an upcoming recruitment consultation event at Bexco in Busan. The initiative aims to attract science and engineering graduates from outside the greater Seoul area as well as from within it.
