Damyang-gun has launched a holiday outreach initiative, visiting vulnerable neighbors and social welfare facilities in the area ahead of Chuseok.
The visits aim to check on the well-being of vulnerable residents before the holiday and to express gratitude and encouragement to residents and staff at social welfare facilities.
Through Wednesday, the county plans to visit 32 facilities — including nursing homes for the elderly, shelters for the homeless, facilities for people with disabilities and community child centers — to check on residents and staff, offer encouragement, and hear any concerns they may have.
"I hope all residents of Damyang-gun enjoy a warm and comfortable Chuseok," said Damyang-gun County Chief Park Jong-won. "We will continue to share and care alongside our community, and take close care to ensure no neighbor is left behind."
