Daishin Securities said Tuesday it is launching an automated order service for customers trading US stocks.

The service monitors market prices in real time and automatically places orders when preset trading conditions are met. It covers stocks listed on US markets but excludes over-the-counter shares.

Customers can set a range of conditions — including target prices and return rates — for both buying new positions and selling existing holdings. The service also supports a trailing stop function, which automatically executes a trade when a stock rebounds or falls after moving to a certain level. The same automated order conditions can be applied to newly added holdings as well.

Users can also choose how long the service monitors prices. Options include regular trading hours only, or the full session spanning pre-market, regular and after-market hours — from 5 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. the following morning.

The service is available through Daishin Securities' Cybos and Creon home trading systems as well as its mobile trading system.

"We focused on reducing the fatigue of investors who have to constantly check prices, given the nature of US stocks with heavy overnight trading," said Kim Tae-jin, head of the overseas investment products division at Daishin Securities. "We hope customers can trade more conveniently and reliably in line with their preferred strategies."

Users should review the relevant precautions before using the service, as information transmission or order execution may be delayed or rejected due to sudden price swings, order surges, or issues with overseas exchanges and market data providers.

Daishin Securities has been stepping up services aimed at improving trading convenience. On Monday, the company said it had revamped its mobile trading system interface to reflect an expansion of after-market trading hours.
