Pohang City Council holds forum with past civic award recipients

The Pohang City Council in North Gyeongsang Province held a forum Tuesday with past recipients of the city's civic award, honoring those who have dedicated themselves to community development and their neighbors.

Participants shared their experiences and activities, exchanging a range of views on advancing local development and improving residents' quality of life.

The award recipients also conveyed firsthand perspectives from their work alongside community members, along with suggestions for the region's development.

In response, council members pledged to keep engaging with residents and actively incorporate their diverse voices into legislative activities.

Council Speaker Kim Cheol-su said the assembly would "work to build a council that creates a better future for the region together with its citizens, drawing on the wide range of opinions shared at this forum."
