Chilgok Senior Club wins top prize at Ministry of Health and Welfare evaluation

Chilgok-gun in North Gyeongsang Province announced Monday that the Chilgok Senior Club, the county's dedicated senior employment agency, won the grand prize at the Ministry of Health and Welfare's comprehensive evaluation of its 2026 Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project.

The award carries added significance as it follows three consecutive "excellence" ratings from 2023, with the club now claiming the top honor in the 2026 evaluation.

In recognition of its outstanding performance, the Chilgok Senior Club will receive an incentive of 25 million won ($18,400).

Chilgok-gun said it will use the results as an opportunity to further strengthen its senior employment programs and continue developing diverse job opportunities that reflect the region's characteristics and the experience and capabilities of its elderly residents.

"This grand prize is a meaningful achievement made possible by the active participation of our senior residents, the dedication of the implementing organization, and the community's support for senior employment programs," Chilgok County Chief Kim Jae-uk said.
