Sectanine appoints Han Soon-wook as CEO to drive AI, data growth

Sectanine, a marketing, AI and IT company under the Sangmidang Holdings group, said Monday it has appointed Han Soon-wook, former chief operating officer of Kakao Pay, as its new CEO.

Han is a management and finance specialist with broad experience at firms including Accenture and Coupang Inc. He joined Kakao Pay in 2017 and served as COO from 2022, overseeing companywide strategy and business operations.

Sectanine said it plans to strengthen its membership, commerce and platform businesses and pursue new ventures and customer experience innovation using data and AI. Through these efforts, the company aims to accelerate its transition into a comprehensive platform company while expanding its role in supporting digital transformation and AI adoption across Sangmidang Holdings affiliates.

"Han brings extensive experience and expertise in management strategy and platform business operations," a company official said. "He will actively respond to the rapidly changing digital environment and identify new growth opportunities grounded in AI and data."
