Singer Cho Young-nam recalls funniest memory — mentions ex-wife Yoon Yeo-jeong again

Singer Cho Young-nam has once again brought up memories of his life with his ex-wife, actor Yoon Yeo-jeong.

The MBN variety program "Sokpuri Show Dongchimi" aired a chuseok special Saturday featuring Cho, Lee Kyung-sil, Im Ye-jin and No Sa-yeon.

During the episode, Cho said the funniest thing that ever happened to him involved singer Rima Kim and her family, who were his neighbors when he lived in the United States.

Cho said his son and Rima Kim's son were around the same age and often spent time together. One day, while the children were fishing, Rima Kim's son cast his line and accidentally hooked it through Rima Kim's nose.

"Her husband was walking in front holding the fishing rod, Rima Kim was following behind him, and their son was walking behind her — the whole procession was just hilarious," Cho recalled. "After we got to the hospital, Yeo-jeong and I started laughing. You know how your stomach hurts when you laugh too hard? We were rolling around on the floor."

When Cho asked, "Should I tell you the second funniest story?" his fellow guest Lee Kyung-sil shot back, "Don't," drawing laughter from the panel.

Cho has previously drawn attention on various programs for sharing anecdotes from his marriage to Yoon.

Cho and Yoon married in 1971, moved to the United States in 1974 and divorced in 1987. They have two sons together.
