McDonald's x Peaceminusone limited-edition goods draw crowds on launch day

McDonald's Korea said Monday it has released three limited-edition collaboration items with G-Dragon's fashion brand Peaceminusone.

Sales began at 10:30 a.m. Monday at McDonald's locations nationwide. The collection consists of three items: a McDonald's vintage cap, a McDonald's shoulder bag and a McDonald's pin set.

McDonald's said customers flocked to stores across the country on the first day of sales, reflecting the strong interest the goods had generated even before their launch.

The merchandise was developed as part of a global campaign led by McDonald's Korea and currently running across 13 markets in Asia. The items combine iconic McDonald's elements with Peaceminusone's distinctive design sensibility.

The vintage cap has drawn particular attention as a recreation of the 1980s American McDonald's uniform hat that appeared in the "Too Bad" music video featuring campaign model G-Dragon.

The shoulder bag features the Golden Arches and the Peaceminusone logo placed side by side. The pin set comes in three designs: a "McD heart pin," a "daisy flower pin" and a "french fry pin."

"We will continue to go beyond the menu and strive to offer customers a unique brand experience through diverse content that originates in Korea," a McDonald's Korea official said.
