Bonghwa-gun forms TFs on rural basic income, farm supplies management

Bonghwa-gun in North Gyeongsang Province has launched task forces to address key local issues, including rural basic income, the county announced Monday.

The county set up a rural basic income promotion TF under its planning and budget office to proactively respond to the central government's pilot rural basic income program and prepare for its expansion.

A farm supplies management TF has also been established within the agricultural technology center's agricultural policy and livestock division to improve the subsidy management system for agricultural inputs.

The county also reinforced staffing in its retail and specialty crops division to advance the hub agricultural complex center, a campaign pledge project.

Bonghwa-gun plans to review the operational performance and workload generated by the new TFs and additional staffing, and to incorporate the relevant functions into a future organizational restructuring to ensure continuity and expertise in project implementation.

"We will strengthen departmental accountability and cooperation on key issues, and pursue policies in a substantive way to support the sustainable development of agriculture and rural communities and to stabilize residents' livelihoods," a county official said.
