Suseong University, Korea Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency sign MOU on smart farm development

Suseong University and the Korea Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency signed an MOU Monday at a conference room on the fourth floor of Suseong University's main building in Daegu to cooperate on education and research in smart farming and agricultural technology.

The agreement aims to help the two institutions cultivate specialized talent in smart farming and agricultural technology through a university-based anchor project collaboration framework, while promoting joint research in areas of shared interest and strengthening ties with local communities.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both sides, including Suseong University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Director Kang Sung-su, Smart Farm Department Chair Kim Young-saeng, Korea Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency Planning and Operations Division Head Kim Ok-il, Planning and Coordination Office Director Park Sun-ho, and Senior Researcher Hwang Eui-ung.

Under the MOU, the two institutions agreed to collaborate on joint research into smart farming and agricultural technology, co-develop and operate curricular and extracurricular programs, provide facilities and infrastructure support for successful program delivery, and cooperate on promoting their initiatives and sharing outstanding results.

"Drawing on the excellent resources and infrastructure of both institutions, we will produce tangible outcomes that contribute to the development of the local community and the agricultural sector," Kang said.
