Keimyung College job center runs career-exploration program for Daegu tourism high schoolers

The University Job Plus Center at Keimyung College ran a creative career-exploration program for first- through third-year students at Daegu Tourism High School on Sept. 15, using the college's hotel and aviation training facilities.

The program was organized as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's high school-tailored employment service project. It opened with an overview of the project and available job-support systems, then moved into hands-on activities in the tourism, hotel and aviation fields — including making colorful mocktails and practicing in-flight announcements.

Under the guidance of faculty from Keimyung College's Department of Global Service, Hotel and Aviation, students used a variety of colors and ingredients to make their own mocktails, gaining firsthand experience in hotel food and beverage service.

They then practiced delivering in-flight announcements in a simulated cabin environment designed to replicate real aviation service conditions, deepening their understanding of airline service roles.

Kim Jae-hyun, director of the University Job Plus Center, said the center would continue expanding field-centered, tailored programs developed in close partnership with local high schools, covering everything from career exploration to job preparation.
