Exhibition marking completion of 'Panorama Walk' features 360-degree archive footage of views from the 472-meter peak
Gwangyang Steelworks will hold an exhibition at Posco Museum of Art Gwangyang to mark the completion of "Panorama Walk," an interactive sculpture installed at the summit of Gubongsan (472 meters above sea level).
Running from Oct. 6 to Nov. 28 under the theme "Panorama Walk: THE INFINITE LIGHT," the exhibition traces the making of the installation — a project born at the intersection of the region's natural scenery, an artist's creative vision and Posco's distinctive technology.
The first floor of the exhibition hall presents the story of how Panorama Walk came to be, divided into four parts, while the second floor recreates the sweeping views from the summit, allowing visitors to take in the surrounding landscape as if standing at the top.
The views from Gubongsan's peak are reproduced through wraparound video and exhibition content, letting visitors experience a 360-degree panorama — taking in Yeosu, Suncheon and Hadong — without making the climb themselves.
Admission is free. Visitors who wish to join a guided tour can make a reservation in advance through the official website at park1538.posco.com.
Meanwhile, "Panorama Walk," the summit observatory on Gubongsan built with 18 billion won ($13.2 million) in investment by Posco Group, opens to the public on Oct. 9.
