Yongin Mayor Lee Sang-il posted a message on his social media account Monday under the title "Civilian Commendations on Citizens' Day."
"As Citizens' Day approaches, I wanted to express my gratitude and present commendations to the residents who have worked so hard for the development of our community," Lee said.
"It is because of the quiet, dedicated efforts of each and every one of you — in your own roles — that Yongin Special City has been able to achieve the growth it has today," he added.
"I offer my heartfelt congratulations once again to all those who received this honor, and I will continue to work alongside our residents toward even greater development and happiness for Yongin," he said.
