Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun posted on his social media account Tuesday about an on-site inspection of sports facilities at the city's water reservoir sites.
"On Tuesday I visited four reservoirs — Sadong, Gojan, Seongpo and Seonbu — and personally inspected the sports facilities there," Lee wrote. "The reservoirs are essential infrastructure responsible for supplying clean water to residents, while the space above them serves as community sports areas featuring futsal courts, badminton courts, an archery range and an athletics track."
He added that he had carefully examined conditions throughout the facilities to identify aging infrastructure, user inconveniences and maintenance priorities going forward. "At Seonbu reservoir in particular, construction of a new badminton court — to replace one that collapsed under heavy snowfall — is under way alongside broader repairs to aging sports facilities," he wrote. "I will find solutions on the ground and make improvements one by one so that residents can use these spaces more safely and conveniently."
