Uiseong-gun in North Gyeongsang Province will accept applications for its second-half 2026 multi-child scholarship through Nov. 3, the county announced Wednesday, saying the program aims to ease the education cost burden on families with multiple children.
The scholarship is open to university students who are the second or later child in a family, provided that both the student's parents and the student are registered residents of Uiseong-gun and actually living there as of the tuition payment date.
The award covers half of the student's out-of-pocket tuition for the semester, up to a maximum of 1.5 million won ($1,100).
Applicants must submit the application form along with supporting documents to their local town or township office, or to the Lifelong Education Team of the General Affairs and Saemaul Division at Uiseong-gun County Office, by 6 p.m. on Nov. 3.
