113 companies, 152 booths at Kim Dae-jung Convention Center from Friday to Sunday
The Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City will hold the Jeonnam Gwangju Beauty Expo 2026 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center from Friday to Sunday.
Organized by the integrated special city and run by the Gwangju Tourism Organization, the expo marks the first major showcase timed to the city's launch, combining South Jeolla Province's rich natural biotech material infrastructure with Gwangju's advanced AI and photonics technology to highlight the vision and synergies of the Honam region's beauty industry. A total of 113 companies will operate 152 booths at the event.
The exhibition floor will offer a comprehensive look at next-generation K-beauty, featuring skincare, functional cosmetics, hair and nail products alongside AI-powered skin and scalp scanners, personalized beauty-tech devices and inner-beauty products driving the K-beauty wave.
A "K-Beauty Global Fast-Track" seminar will share practical information on overseas certification, big data-driven market entry and influencer marketing. An industrial tour of Gwangju's Good Manufacturing Practice cosmetics production facilities will also be conducted for major overseas buyers, including those from Mongolia.
A range of business-to-consumer programs and side events have been prepared for the public. Notably, the 2026 Skin Care Beauty Competition and the 2026 Nail Expo will run concurrently, drawing beauty professionals from across the country.
The main stage will feature a K-beauty performance and runway show by 100 senior models on Saturday, followed by a K-beauty character live performance on Sunday. The experience zone will offer AI skin and scalp analysis and personal color diagnosis, a custom perfume-making workshop, K-beauty styling and special effects makeup, and free nail care sessions — activities open to visitors of all ages.
The first 100 visitors each day will receive gifts, and a variety of audience participation events are planned, including pre-registration coupons, special prize draws, SNS check-in promotions and a stamp tour.
Son Du-yeong, director of the AI Industry Bureau, said the expo is "the first beauty festival held at the largest scale in the Honam region with South Jeolla Province and Gwangju united as one," adding that organizers have prepared diverse hands-on experiences for visitors while supporting local companies in expanding their domestic and overseas markets. "We hope for your keen interest and participation," he said.
