Hanwha Connect said Thursday it will promote Park Jae-yong, head of the strategic planning team, to executive director as part of its regular executive reshuffle. The company said it tapped an internal candidate to translate mid- to long-term strategies into tangible business results and strengthen its capacity to execute future initiatives.
Park has been recognized for his contributions to companywide strategy, new business development, securing key operating rights and workplace safety and health. In his new role, he will lead the integrated retail project at Seoul Station, operating-rights renewals, new platform development and AI-driven business transformation.
"This appointment is about reinforcing leadership to put our mid- to long-term strategies into full motion, building on the company's accumulated achievements and business stability," a company official said. "By promoting internal talent, we will sharpen our ability to execute future business plans and further strengthen our competitiveness as an urban commercial facility platform centered on Seoul Station and Cheongnyangni Station."
