Mercedes-Benz Trucks offers up to 10-year installment plan, free engine oil changes

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has launched a long-term installment program for South Korean customers, allowing them to spread vehicle payments over up to 10 years. The offer is paired with a 10-year engine oil change benefit for tractor buyers, with the overall package designed to lower both the initial purchase cost and ongoing maintenance expenses.

Star Truck Korea, the official importer of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, announced Friday the "120+10 promotion" to mark the 130th anniversary of the truck.

The centerpiece is financing of up to 120 months, available across all Mercedes-Benz Truck models. The company says it is the first and only 120-month installment program in South Korea's commercial vehicle industry, allowing buyers to spread the cost of a vehicle over a full decade.

Customers who purchase a tractor will also receive coupons for 10 years of engine oil changes. The benefit is intended to ease the long-term maintenance burden on commercial vehicle operators, who typically log high mileage over extended service periods.

Additional incentives are available by model. Customers who take delivery of a new Arocs 2851 or 4153 cargo truck and display Mercedes-Benz Trucks advertising on the side of their vehicle will receive 500,000 won ($369) per month for one year, for a total of up to 6 million won. Vehicle discounts and special-rate financing products are also on offer.

Buyers of the New Arocs 4153K single-reduction dump truck — launched in South Korea in June — will receive maintenance coupons worth up to 10 million won. The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 50 units sold through the end of this year and includes an unlimited five-year powertrain warranty.

Existing Mercedes-Benz Truck owners who purchase a new vehicle will receive an additional discount of up to 4 million won.

The promotion coincides with the 130th anniversary of the world's first truck. Daimler, the predecessor to Mercedes-Benz, unveiled the world's first truck in 1896, powered by a four-horsepower, two-cylinder engine. Daimler Truck is marking the milestone this year with a global campaign under the theme "130 Years of Moving Forward."

"Through this promotion, prepared to mark the 130th anniversary of the truck, we aim to provide benefits that meaningfully reduce the burden on customers — from purchase through maintenance and long-term operation — and support the stable running of their businesses," said Dong Geun-tae, chief executive of Star Truck Korea.
