Sangju city in North Gyeongsang Province will hold an "ugly produce" promotional sale on its agricultural products online shopping mall, Myeongsilsangju Mall, through Oct. 31, the city announced Friday.
Some 15 farms selling competitively priced products on the mall will take part in the event.
Shoppers will be able to purchase Sangju agricultural and specialty products at reduced prices, with discounts from participating farms stacked on top of additional support from the mall itself.
"I hope this event will bring vitality to farms during the harvest season and give consumers a great opportunity to enjoy Sangju's fine agricultural products at an affordable price," Sangju Mayor Ahn Jae-min said.
