Parata Air announced Monday that it has successfully completed its "Parata Air Crew Class" program, designed to nurture future aviation talent and support career education in the aviation industry.

The airline held the two-day program Thursday and Friday at the Yuhan University-Parata Air Joint Training Center, providing practical training to 61 participants — students enrolled in Yuhan University's aviation service department and high school seniors considering a career in aviation services.

The airline said the program was designed to give students hands-on experience with the safety and service training that takes place in real aviation settings, drawing on Parata Air's cabin crew training expertise and Yuhan University's training infrastructure.

Parata Air's cabin training instructors led the sessions directly. Participants began with theoretical instruction on the role of cabin crew and emergency evacuation procedures, then moved through a series of exercises linked to actual cabin crew training: emergency evacuation drills, in-flight fire response and suppression, self-defense techniques, and emergency evacuation slide experience.

The program was structured around safety training, going beyond a simple career experience to let students take on the duties of a "safety officer" — one of the most critical roles a cabin crew member performs during flight operations. The aim was to deepen participants' understanding of cabin crew responsibilities and aviation safety while helping them explore their future career paths in concrete terms.

Parata Air positioned the program as part of its ESG (environmental, social and governance) management activities, specifically its commitment to supporting education for the next generation through industry-academia cooperation. By sharing its professional staff, training facilities and aviation safety expertise with students, the airline said it aims to provide more substantive educational opportunities for aspiring aviation professionals.

Earlier this year, Parata Air and Yuhan University jointly opened the training center in March, establishing a dedicated training infrastructure for cabin crew education. Through the Crew Class, the airline plans to extend the use of that infrastructure to students and prospective aviation talent, broadening the scope of its industry-academia partnership.

Seo Sang-won, head of Parata Air's flight operations division, said giving students who dream of working in aviation the chance to experience the actual facilities and curriculum used in the field is itself a meaningful opportunity for career exploration. "Going forward, we will continue to use Parata Air's human and material resources to support the growth of future aviation talent, and to develop a variety of programs we can carry out together with local communities and educational institutions," he said.

Meanwhile, Parata Air secured routes from Incheon to Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing in the government's air route allocation in April, and was additionally awarded the Shanghai and Hangzhou routes in August. The airline is set to launch its first Chinese routes beginning with the Incheon-Shenzhen service in November.
