The event takes place Saturday at Alice Infant Forest Experience Center in Myeongil Park, open to all families with young children. Six hands-on programs — from cooperative games to terrarium-making and insect observation — plus a magic bubble show await attendees.
Seoul's Gangdong-gu will host the 13th Infant Forest Family Festival on Saturday at Alice Infant Forest Experience Center in Myeongil Park, bringing together young children and their families for a day of nature-based play.
Held under the theme "Let's Gather in the Fun Forest," the festival is designed to help children grow comfortable in woodland settings while giving families a chance to connect with nature together. Programs centered on family bonding, garden therapy and hands-on nature experiences will fill the day.
Six activity programs are on offer, including a cooperative game in which families work together to carry fruit, traditional games such as ddakji (card flipping) and jegi (shuttlecock kicking), terrarium-making with companion plants, and insect observation. A magic bubble show and beanbag lounge area will also be set up so visitors can relax and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
"We put this festival together so children can enjoy a wide range of play and hands-on experiences in the infant forest with their families and feel close to nature," Gangdong-gu District Mayor Lee Su-hee said. "I hope it becomes a joyful autumn memory for the whole family."
