Actor Min Do-hee, who won widespread affection through the drama series "Reply 1994," has shared an unexpected life update.
Min recently posted an outing video on her YouTube channel "Mini Do-hee," filmed along Seosunna-gil.
Known for her introverted personality, she appeared visibly flustered by the crowds, walking quietly along the edge of the path — a sight that drew the attention of passersby. At one point she even pretended to be on a phone call, holding her phone to her ear despite having received no call, in what came across as a shy attempt to blend in.
When a production crew at a café asked her for a life update, Min said she would be heading to Canada in a few weeks. "It's something I've dreamed of since I was young — a language study trip abroad — and a great opportunity really came along," she said. "Honestly, now that it's actually approaching, I'm scared and nervous, because my English is really bad."
Asked by the crew whether she was still studying with a language app, Min gave a rueful smile. "I'm sorry. I did keep it up for two weeks, but once I missed a day … " she said, trailing off.
Min had previously revealed through broadcasts and her channel that she worked part-time at a café during a 15-month hiatus from acting. She recalled that she started the job when the absence of acting work left her feeling small and depressed, and that the experience of feeling needed by someone helped her rebuild her self-esteem.
Her mother also appeared on a broadcast and said her daughter, who had been worn out, was able to get back on her feet by going out and working.
Min rose to prominence through tvN's "Reply 1994" in 2013, but her subsequent absence from screens left fans wondering what had become of her.
