Gyeongil University held the "2026 KIU North Gyeongsang Province Foreign Student Job Fair" at its campus gymnasium on Wednesday.

The fair was hosted by North Gyeongsang Province and jointly organized by the North Gyeongsang Province Economic Promotion Agency and Gyeongil University. Some 26 companies from the North Gyeongsang region and about 1,000 foreign students took part.

At the event, participating companies and students engaged in one-on-one career consultations and matching sessions, alongside guidance on residency and visa support and presentations on employment and hiring cases from both sides.

Before the opening ceremony, a special visa lecture was held for human resources managers at participating companies, providing information they need during the actual hiring process for foreign nationals.

The opening ceremony featured an awards presentation for a short-form video competition held among foreign students, along with an opening performance themed "North Gyeongsang Province's Gateway to Employment."

Students and company representatives at the event shared information on local employment and settlement.

Kim Hyun-woo, vice president for industry-academia cooperation, said the university would continue to expand collaboration with North Gyeongsang Province, regional institutions and businesses to strengthen employment and residency support systems that help talent the region needs stay in the region.
