Goryeong-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held a "2026 Four-Type Violence Prevention Education" session — covering sexual harassment, sexual assault, prostitution and domestic violence — for all county office staff and senior civil servants on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The training was designed to foster a sound sense of gender equality in the workplace, raise awareness of the four types of violence and build a safer workplace culture.
At Tuesday's session for all staff, Hwang Mi-hyang, a specialist instructor from the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, delivered a lecture on understanding and preventing the four types of violence, drawing on real-world cases.
On Wednesday, senior civil servants attended a separate session focused on leadership, covering the role of department heads when an incident occurs and measures to prevent secondary harm to victims.
A Goryeong-gun official said the training provided an opportunity to deepen understanding of the four types of violence and strengthen prevention awareness, adding that the county would work to build a safe and healthy public-service culture of mutual respect, with senior civil servants leading by example and all staff taking part.
