BYD's official dealer DT Networks has surpassed 10,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries in South Korea — the first domestic BYD dealer to reach the milestone, roughly one year and nine months after the Chinese automaker's passenger car brand entered the Korean market.

DT Networks, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Automobil Group, announced Monday that its cumulative delivery count had crossed the 10,000 mark.

The company joined BYD's domestic passenger car operations from the outset in January last year, helping build out the brand's sales and service network. It currently operates 16 showrooms and seven service centers across the country.

The rapid expansion of its sales footprint has underpinned the delivery growth. DT Networks built out its sales and service network in tandem so that a single dealer can handle everything from consultations and test drives to delivery and after-sales maintenance.

BYD's overall sales in Korea have also been climbing sharply. A total of 20,137 BYD passenger cars were newly registered in the country from January through September this year, a 567.2 percent increase from 3,018 units in the same period last year. The brand ranked fourth among imported passenger car labels, behind Tesla, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

By model, the Dolphin compact electric hatchback led with 8,198 registrations, followed by the Sea Lion 7 electric SUV at 7,109 units. The Atto 3 added 2,668 registrations, reflecting a broadening lineup.

To mark the milestone, DT Networks held a vehicle handover ceremony at the BYD Auto Dongdaemun showroom in Seoul.

The company has also earned recognition on the international stage. At the 2026 BYD Asia-Pacific Dealer Conference held in March, it took home more awards than any other dealer in the Asia-Pacific region.

DT Networks has paired its sales efforts with post-purchase customer engagement. Earlier this year it signed a partnership with KT Wiz, a professional baseball club, and has been running a program that invites customers who took delivery through DT Networks to VIP skyboxes at the team's stadium.

"The 10,000-unit milestone — a first among BYD dealers in Korea — is the result of our customers' trust and our employees' hard work," said Kwon Hyeok-min, vice chairman of Deutsche Automobil Group and chief executive of DT Networks. "We will continue to focus on raising service quality and customer satisfaction together with BYD Korea."
