Shinsegae Factory Store to hold 'Factory Day' sale through Sunday

Shinsegae Factory Store, an off-price retail outlet operated by Shinsegae Department Store, will hold its largest annual sale event, Factory Day, from Thursday through Sunday.

Factory Day is held twice a year, in the first and second halves of the calendar year. The event features products from more than 200 brands spanning luxury imports, domestic and international fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Items already priced 30 to 80 percent below their regular retail price will receive an additional discount of up to 20 percent.

Shinsegae Factory Store revamped its brand identity and store design in July. In the three months since the rebrand, sales among customers in their 20s and 30s roughly doubled compared with the same period a year earlier, and their share of total sales grew by more than 10 percentage points. In the fashion category — which accounts for about half of overall sales — roughly 40 percent of buyers were in their 20s and 30s.

Reflecting the shift in its customer base, the event will expand its lineup of luxury imports and K-fashion products favored by younger shoppers. The beauty and lifestyle category will also feature more products from popular brands including Brown Breath, Aika White, 8seconds and Olzen.

Purchase-tier gift perks will also be available. The Gangnam store will offer rewards worth 7 percent of the purchase amount, while the Centum City, Goyang, Times Square, Gimhae, Uijeongbu, Daegu and Jukjeon locations will each provide their own tiered gift benefits.
