Actor Jeong Woong-in's daughter cuts social media to prep for Seoul National University

Actor Jeong Woong-in has shared an update on his second daughter, Jeong So-yun, who previously drew wide attention online for her resemblance to NewJeans member Haerin.

Jeong appeared Monday on the YouTube channel "Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yeop" alongside director Jang Jin, where the two reminisced with classmates from the Seoul Institute of the Arts class of 1989.

In the video, Jeong said he is currently living separately from his wife, renting a small home in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, with two of his daughters. He said his youngest daughter wanted to attend middle school with her elementary school friends and chose to stay with her mother.

On his eldest daughter Se-yun, Jeong said she did not get in last year and is now preparing to retake her college entrance exam. When the conversation turned to director Jang's son having entered university, Jeong quipped, "He's doing incredibly well, and Shin Dong-yeop's daughter is excelling at dance. Meanwhile, my kid is excelling at going to hagwon," drawing laughter from everyone on set.

On his second daughter So-yun, he said she had cut off all her social media on her own to focus on studying. "Her goal is to get into Seoul National University, just like Shin Dong-yeop's daughter," he said. "That's the kind of place you can only get into if you do that."

So-yun had previously gone viral online for her striking resemblance to Haerin of the idol group NewJeans, drawing comparisons to a celebrity for her looks.

Meanwhile, Jeong married in 2006 and has three daughters. His eldest, Se-yun, became known to the public through her appearances on the MBC variety program "Dad! Where Are We Going?"
