Women's wellness brand PLUS CLOVR makes its official debut
App offers expert articles, body logs and weekly checklists
Mobile platform expands reach beyond YouTube channel PLUS CLOVR TV
Hanwha General Insurance on Wednesday announced the launch of PLUS CLOVR, a mobile app that brings together information and services for women during pregnancy, childbirth and child-rearing.
PLUS CLOVR is a wellness brand designed to help women maintain a life true to themselves through the changes and choices that define each stage of life. It operates under PLUS, a shared Hanwha Financial brand that provides lifecycle-tailored solutions for customers, and focuses on content and services specific to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The app is part of Hanwha General Insurance's broader push to bring its "leading women's wellness partner" mission into customers' everyday lives.
The brand name CLOVR carries a symbolic meaning: the three leaves represent mother, father and child, and a fourth — expert confidence — completes the four-leaf clover of happiness.
The app centers on information and features useful during pregnancy, while also offering content to help users prepare for childbirth and parenting. It is designed to spare users the hassle of hunting through multiple channels for scattered information, making it easy to find what is relevant to their specific stage and circumstances.
Beyond pregnancy and childbirth, the app features content from specialists across a range of fields — psychology, English, financial planning and career development among them — addressing common questions during pregnancy as well as the broader concerns that arise when preparing for birth and raising a child.
The app also includes tools for tracking physical changes throughout pregnancy. A "body log" lets users record weight and diet, while a weekly checklist guides them through the information and schedules relevant to each stage of pregnancy, helping them manage changes in their body and lifestyle week by week.
Hanwha General Insurance plans to run the app alongside its official YouTube channel, PLUS CLOVR TV, diversifying how it delivers information to users. The app will provide content and features tailored to each stage and area of interest, while the YouTube channel will offer firsthand accounts from experts and those with personal experience.
"The PLUS CLOVR app was designed to help women more easily find the information and support they need throughout pregnancy, childbirth and parenting, so they can continue living life on their own terms," a company official said. "We will continue to pay close attention to the diverse changes and needs in women's lives, and keep delivering differentiated customer experiences in the women's wellness space."
The PLUS CLOVR app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Meanwhile, Hanwha General Insurance has been expanding its women-focused business under the brand vision of "leading women's wellness partner." Its flagship product, the Hanwha Signature Women's Health Insurance, includes a special rider covering diagnoses of certain stress-related mental disorders — a feature developed in response to concerns common among women in their 20s and 30s. In March last year, the company launched Signature Library, a content platform covering topics of interest to women such as motivation, relationships, finance and femtech. In March this year, it became the first non-life insurer in South Korea to join the UN Women's Empowerment Principles.
