Brand's first domestic sports sponsorship; all 5,000 participants receive products
OOFOS, a US recovery footwear brand distributed in Korea by LF, said it officially sponsored the 2026 Pink Run, held Sunday at Peace Plaza in Seoul's Sangam World Cup Park.
It marked the brand's first sponsorship of a domestic sporting event in Korea. Now in its 26th year, the Pink Run is a marathon dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and promoting prevention. All participant registration fees are donated to the Korea Breast Health Foundation to support patients and fund prevention education.
The sponsorship was designed to extend OOFOS's global breast cancer research and patient support campaign, Project Pink, to Korea. Project Pink traces its origins to Duncan Finigan, a founding member and former marketing director of OOFOS, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and left a message expressing his hope that OOFOS would become a brand that helps restore people's bodies and minds. OOFOS launched Project Pink in 2015 and has since donated a portion of its annual proceeds to institutions including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Cumulative donations have reached approximately $7 million.
Participants tried on recovery shoes made with OOFOS's OOFOAM material at the brand's booth. All 5,000 runners received a functional T-shirt, and event prizes included shoes, sports towels, bandanas and reusable gym bags. The giveaway items ran out early.
"We will continue to pursue a wide range of activities as a recovery lifestyle brand that promotes healthy recovery in everyday life," an OOFOS official said.
