The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee announced Wednesday that it has revised its competition management rules to allow athletes to review and request corrections to their entry applications even after the National Sports Festival registration deadline has passed.
The change is designed to prevent administrative errors from barring athletes from competition. Under the revised rules, athletes have two days from the day after the registration deadline to check their event category, division and specific event details and to request corrections from their regional sports council if any errors are found.
Regional sports councils may also use the same two-day window to identify missed entries or administrative mistakes and submit correction requests to the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.
The revised system will take effect starting with the 108th National Winter Sports Festival in 2027 and will apply to subsequent National Sports Festivals as well.
